PART 1: EARTH, WATER, FIRE
Shaktis and Chakras is a 3-part course journey Into the feminine through chakras and goddesses. Understanding the goddesses and the chakras together is a powerful way to dive into your subconscious, activate the energetic body to release old traumas, mend karmic attachments, and manifest more abundance. Through discussion, lecture, myth, and mediation you will learn about each chakra, the corresponding goddess, and how to apply what learn into your everyday life.
Part 1: CHAKRAS OF EARTH, WATER, FIRE In this 3-week course, you will delve deep into the lower level chakras and the goddesses whose energy will help you navigate these chakras. The lower levels chakras influence almost every decision you make and are the base of how you live your life. Understanding these lower areas of energy will help you break through basic fears, unlock potential, and move into action.

Deepen Your Practice with Kimi Marin
Did you know that yoga poses come in “families?” Many yoga postures mimic each other and by learning the proper alignment in particular families, helps to create a deeper understanding of how to align your body in each pose. Join Kimi Marin to take your practice deeper by slowing down and re-familiarizing yourself with some of the common poses. In each session, you will deepen your understanding of a family of postures and learn how it feels in your body in order to deepen your yoga practice.
In every session you will explore standing postures, balancing postures, seated postures, and move to a more advanced (and surprise!) posture. You will learn how specific postures are supposed to feel in your body as well as the different modifications. Come prepared to learn, laugh, and enjoy the journey!
Session 1: Closed Hips: Lunges, hip flexors, and backbends!
Have you ever heard a teacher ask you to internally rotate your leg and not have a clue what that means?? Or ever wondered how to engage your core and do a backbend? If Yes, Then this is the session for you! In this session you will learn how to open your front body, play with thigh rotation, and move into backbends in a safe and aligned manner.
Session II: Open Hip: Warriors, Triangles, and Trees
Good-bye, Tight hips! You will learn how to find alignment in some of the most popular poses, strengthen your outer hips, and safely transition from one pose to the next in way that is safe for your knees and hips. If you have ever done a warrior 2, this is the session for you!
Session III: Twists
Twists are supposed to create a sense of spaciousness in our bodies but most often students feel constricted, stuck, and confused. In this session, you will learn how to use breath work, core engagement, and body stabilization to move deeper into twists. If you ever feel stuck in a twist, this session is for you!

Do you ever feel conflicted about getting out for a hike or going to your favorite yoga class? Fret no more!
Wind down your week with Kimi Marin, a seasoned yoga teachers and hiking enthusiast, for a hike in Portland’s largest living art display, the Arboretum, with stops for yoga. You will take tree pose under the redwoods, marvel and breath with the magnolias, and laugh with new friends. Oh - and hear tales about how some the trees got their cones!
WHERE WILL WE MEET?
When you register, you will receive an email from us with all the details about meeting and parking.
DO I NEED TO BRING A MAT?
No -- I will provide you with a small mat when it is necessary.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Bring water and a sense of fun.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Wear comfortable shoes, clothes you can comfortable move in, and a light jacket (if the weather is cool).
IS THIS EVENT RAIN OR SHINE?
HOW LONG DO WE HIKE?
The hike is about 90 minutes round trip with some small hills.
DO I NEED TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE?
You need to be able to walk up to 3 miles with some incline.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CAN’T MAKE THE HIKE?
You can get a refund up to 7 days in advance of the hike. After that you are able to gift your space to a friend.
